The Card Concept #56 {Sweet Tea}

Welcome to The Card Concept! Each week we offer up a challenge for you to try, and we hope that you will create a card in one of the styles we have offered here.  The team is divided into the different styles and each designer explains how they were inspired by the challenge!  So come and join us and try your hand at a brand new "style" of card making or work in your comfort zone, it is totally up to you!

Feel free to use any of the styles of our team or better yet, share you own style by combining one or more of the styles. We want you to have fun and make a card in a style that you feel good about!

This month we are thrilled to welcome Becca Cruger to our team as Guest in the Mixed Media category! Becca is truly an inspiration in this crafty area! Welcome, Becca.

Becca Cruger

I've been crafting ever since I discovered how to attach glitter to paper! You'll frequently find me with ink all over my hands because I LOVE working with messy products - especially Ranger Distress products. I am the owner of Damsel of Distressed Cards in Grand Forks, ND and teach cardmaking and mixed media art classes. I also design stamps for STAMPlorations. My designs are very eclectic and my favorite way to create cards is by layering and incorporating mixed media.

We are also happy to welcome two new designers to our team! Please join us in welcoming, Jennifer Timko & Ilina Crouse! I asked these ladies to share a bit about themselves.

Ilina Crouse

Hi, I am Ilina Crouse. I am from Macedonia, but have been in the US for over 11 years. Currently I live in Atlanta, GA. By day I am an Electrical and Proposal Engineer, by night l I am an avid paper crafter.I am a wife of 11 years to my wonderful husband, Sean, and  a mommy of 3 little ones (Anna - 4yr,Milena - 2yr and Jason - 14 months). I love Clean and Simple designs and try to create every day, as my little escape from the everyday craziness. I love coloring and trying and experimenting with different techniques.

Hello!  My name is Jennifer Timko.  In my "day job,  I am a pilot for United Airlines flying the Airbus 319/320.  But I love paper crafting whenever (and wherever) I can fit it in!!  I have been married for 15 years and have two boys (13 yo and 10 yo)...so I drive the soccer "bus" when I'm not busy flying my Airbus.  My crazy schedule might be the reason I am a clean stamper.  I need to simplify and declutter when I can!  I love clean lines and fun details.  I am thrilled to join The Card Concept as a Clean and Graphic designer!
