The Card Concept #91 {Blossoms in Blue}

Welcome to The Card Concept! Every two weeks we post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us and create a card for our challenge gallery.

Before we show our inspiration photo for this challenge, we would like to say farewell to Kim Heggins.  She is stepping down from The Card Concept Design Team and we will miss her for sure!!  We know that we will still see her lovely creations on her blog and wish her all of the best!

Now, on to our {Blossoms in Blue} Challenge!! What will inspire you from this gorgeous photo?  The dress, the flowers, the colors, the fur?  We cannot wait to see what you design!

Please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.  We want you to have fun with our inspiration!

Our design team members will also be selecting a style (or combination of styles) and will explain how they were inspired by the challenge.  So come and join us!  We'd love you to try your hand at a brand new style of card making or feel free to work in your comfort zone.  It is totally up to you!

The styles are explained HERE.

Now for the design team and their inspiration:

Julie Gearinger
Julie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the beautiful dress-
the blue and pinks as well as the overall feminine
feel of the photo to create a Vintage Mixed Media card!

Michele K. Henderson
Michele's Inspiration:I love the contrast of the
bright pink flowers against the blue and used
that in my Clean and Layered card.

Robin Messenheimer
Robin's Inspiration: I found myself inspired by the lovely
sprigs of cherry blossoms on that beautiful turquoise
background. The white behind the dress and flowers made
them pop, so I made it a part of my Clean and Layered card, too.

Nancy Penir
Nancy's Inspiration: Femininity and the pink blooms are
standouts and against the aqua, layered loveliness!
All of this inspired by Classy and Elegant card!

Maureen Plut
Maureen's Inspiration: The colours and branches
inspired my Shabby Chic card.

Susan Powell
Susan's Inspiration: I was inspired by all the beautiful
flowers and the shades of blue on the
dress for my Classy and Elegant card!

Angel Rivera
Angel is taking a break for this challenge and will be
with us for the next one.  We hope you will stop
by her blog and say "hi"!

Mackie Robertson
Mackie's Inspiration:  My Clean and Simple style card
was inspired by the beautiful dress that
reminds me of my mom!

Pam Staples
Pam's Inspiration: My Clean and Layered style
card was inspired by the gorgeous blue
and the pink floral design.

Our Rules:

1.  Use the challenge inspiration to create a card.

The styles are explained HERE.

Now for the design team and their inspiration:

Julie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the bright spring colors
as well as the beautiful flowers on those scrumptious
cupcakes for my Mixed Media card!

Kim's Inspiration:  I loved all the sweet treats and pretty colors,
pink and purple. I used yummy doughnuts instead of cupcakes
in a photo frame. I kept my card clean and simple,
love all the white space.

Michele's Inspiration:   I love the vivid colors and shapes
of the flowers, and the subtle layers of color, and used
them in my Clean and Layered card.

Robin's Inspiration: The circles in the photo and the swirls
on the cupcakes are what drew me into the picture, and
helped me create this Clean and Layered card.

Nancy's Inspiration: The photo had me at pink!
 And frosted flowers... andthe cake!
Clean and Layered, my favorite style card!

Maureen's Inspiration:  My Clean and Layered look is
inspired by the bright, cheerful colours!

Susan's Inspiration: I was inspired by the colors
and the little flowers on the cupcakes
for my Clean and Simple card.

Angel's Inspiration: I was inspired by the sweet cupcakes,
the bright colors and the birthday theme for
my Clean and Layered card!

Mackie's Inspiration:  I was inspired by the colors and
the birthday theme for my Clean and Graphic card.

Pam's taking a break for this challenge-
