Before we get to our challenge, I would like to welcome Alison Barclay to our team! Alison is joining us as a Clean & Graphic designer! Hooray!

Hi! My name is Alison (aka Gothdove Designs) and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I have been a card maker for about 10 years and fell in love with stamping about 3 years ago when I realised just how wonderful and creative stamping is! My style is generally "clean and simple" and I like lots of white space! My other creative world is music...my husband is a drummer and drumming teacher and I work in as an arts administrator for our state orchestra. I'm also a loving (and exhausted) mum to my beautiful two little men who are 4 & 2 years old. I am SO excited to be part of the Card Concept Design Team!

Feel free to use any of the styles of our team or better yet, share you own style by combining one or more of the styles. We want you to have fun and make a card in a style that you feel good about!

August Clean & Layered Guest Designer Kim Singdahlsen

This month we are focusing on Clean and Layered designs. Clean & Layered Designs are distinct with their clean lines, layers, dimension and lots of lovely white space. For the month of September we have the very talented Kim Singdahlsen from Joyful Creations with Kim joining us as our September Guest Designer.

I live in Parker, Colorado with my husband, two teen boys, a dog and two cats.  I am a former actuary (the mathematics of insurance) who has had the gift of being able to stay home and raise my boys for the last fifteen years. I recently graduated with a new accounting degree so I can move back into an outside career.  Being surrounded by men at home and by numbers at work, is it any wonder that I am passionately in love with creating cards - a rainbow of colors, glitter, ribbon and stamps - and a wonderful online community?  The Card Concept is one of my favorite communities and challenges, and I am thrilled to be this month's guest designer.

Meet our new Teammates for 2015/2016!

Wow! Thank you to everyone who applied to be on The Card Concept Design Team! We are happy to introduce you to our new teammates!

Without further ado...welcome to the team, ladies!!!

(Clean and Simple)

Hi! My name is Debbie.  I live in the state of Washington in view of Mt. Rainier with my husband and border collie.   I have 2 grown daughters and the cutest 2 year old grandson.  I’ve been stamping since around 2005 when I was introduced to Stampin’Up. I fell in love with paper, stamps, ink, ribbon, punches, etc and have not purchased a store bought card since. I look forward to being on the Design Team in the Clean and Simple category and working with these talented ladies!

(Freestyle Collage)

Hi! My name is Michele. I am a northern transplant to a sweet Southern town here in the deep South. My husband and I, along with our four feline fur babies live in steamy Alabama where we love Southern style barbecue and Crimson Tide football! I've been artsy all my life but started card making a few years ago and fell in love with this wonderful crafting community. I love working with layers of paper and color and am thrilled to join The Card Concept with Freestyle Collage!

Hello! My name is Lilian. I was born in Taiwan, grew up in Brazil and I've been living in the US since 2006. I have been married for 11 years and I have two little boys, a Sheltie (Jazz, the dog) and a Ragdoll (Angel, the cat). I started rubber stamping in 2004 and I enjoy making cards, scrapbooking and other projects. I'm honored to be on The Card Concept Design Team! And I hope I'll inspire you with my Mixed-Media cards!

(Clean & Graphic)

Hello! My name is Shannon. I live in Ottawa, Ontario with my husband. We have been married for almost a year now. As a child I always loved all kinds of arts and crafts.I started scrap-booking as a teenager and turned to card making shortly after when I discovered all the fun techniques on YouTube. I'm so grateful to be part of The Card Concept Design Team with such a talented group of ladies! I look forward to sharing my clean and graphic designs with you!

(Classy & Elegant)

Hello! My name is Mackie Robertson! I am so excited to be joining the Card Concept Challenge!!
Here is a little background about me. I have a very understanding husband, a grown son, a dog and cat. I am a retired Dental Hygienist, but I still work in a dental office as the hygiene practice manager. I went to my first  Stampin' Up party about 10 years ago and I have been inky ever since! I love ALL styles of stamping...from CAS to Mixed Media. If I'm not in my craft room creating something, then I am on Pinterest or Blogland looking at other's creations for inspiration! I am currently on the design team for Paper Sweeties.  I just love it!  I started my blog to share my creations, and  to hopefully inspire others to join this wonderful art form! Happy Stamping!

(Shabby Chic)

Hi! Some of you may know me as Three Trees, but my friends and family just call me Deanne.  I have been paper crafting ever since I can remember.  I made my first scrapbook when I was five (and still have it today!) and haven’t stopped since.
I live right smack-dab in the middle of Canada (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to be exact), so to keep warm and cozy indoors I started scrapbooking.  Then I realized that I would rather share my hobby with others and started card creating.  My husband is my cheerleader and Pixie, our newest Chihuahua, is my craft room buddy.  We also own an elderly Chihuahua and two older cats.  What can I say, I LOVE animals and crafting – life is good!

Don't forget we are on summer holidays and won't be back until September 9th!
