The Card Concept #103 {Holiday Treats}

Welcome to The Card Concept! Every two weeks we post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery. 

Please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.  We want you to have fun with our inspiration!

Our designers will also be selecting a style (or combination of styles) and will explain how they were inspired by the challenge.  So come and join us!  We'd love you to try your hand at a brand new style of card making or feel free to work in your comfort zone.  It is totally up to you!

Tangii Crain

Tangii's Inspiration: I LOVE the different shades of the 
red & green, looks a little less "traditional".  I focused
 on these shades for my Clean and Layered card.

Julie Gearinger

Julie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the festive colors
 and cupcakes to create a Shabby Chic/Mixed Media
 birthday card!

Michele K. Henderson

Michele's Inspiration: I really felt inspired by the
 idea of sweet holiday treats and the traditional 
holiday colors for my Freestyle Collage card!


Kim Lackenbach

Kim's Inspiration:  I was inspired to stamp multiple cupcakes 
and add candy along with holly embellishments like the inspiration 
photo for my Clean and Layered card. 

Nancy Penir

Nancy's Inspiration: Those sweet cupcakes in holiday colors 
inspired by Clean and Layered card!

Maureen Plut

Maureen's Inspiration: My Clean and Layered card was 
inspired by pops of red and green on a
 pure white background.

Susan Powell

Susan's Inspiration: The watercolored cupcake was inspired 
by the cupcakes in the photo and is the focus 
of my Clean and Layered card.

Mackie's Inspiration:  I was inspired by the red and green

 colors and the delicious cupcakes for my 
Clean & Layered card!

Marcie Sharp

Marcie's Inspiration: My Clean & Simple card was inspired by 
the watercolor look of the cupcakes, and the classic Christmas 
red and green colours. 

Pam Staples

Pam's Inspiration:   I was inspired by the cupcake in the
 bottom left corner that looks like a Christmas Tree 
along with the holly for this Clean and Layered card.

Our Rules:

1.  Use the challenge inspiration to create a card.

2.  Use one of the challenge styles to create a card (or if you prefer, combine a few styles).

3.  Explain in a post which style or combination of styles you used and what inspired you from our photo.  

4.  Link your post using our linky (please link to the actual post on your blog and not just your blog).

5.  Please try to comment on the cards ahead of you and behind you in the linky.  Everyone loves comments!

Monday, December 10th at 12:00 pm EDT.

Our Challenge Winner and the Honorable Mentions will be announced on Tuesday, December 11th.
