The Card Concept #HOL20 {Christmas Tree, Holiday Decorations or Fav 2020 Card}

                  Welcome to The Card Concept!

For those of you who are new to our challenge, every two weeks we normally post an inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery.

We will be giving our Design Team a well deserved break for the holidays, so we have an easy challenge for all of you for the next few weeks!

Before we give you the details for the next challenge, we would like to say farewell to Tangii Crain.  She will be stepping down from the Design Team to spend more time with her family.

We will miss Tangii greatly, but know that she will continue creating beautiful cards- best wishes to you and your family, Tangii!

Also, we will be announcing two new Design Team members for 2021, so stay tuned!!

Now, on to our HOL20 Challenge!

For this challenge, we would like for you to share your favorite card that you created this year (any card that you designed) or a picture of your Christmas tree and/or holiday decorations.

This challenge will be our last one for 2020 and the gallery link will remain open until Monday, January 4th!

Now for the Design Team's favorite card from 2020 and/or Christmas tree/holiday decorations:

Esther's Inspiration:  My Willow Tree nativity --
My favorite decoration since it reminds me of the
reason we celebrate this season!

Julie's Inspiration: It is difficult for me to choose a favorite card
since I tend to spend hours creating each one, lol!
I had fun creating this Mixed Media card with a distress oxide
background technique and a bit of layering.

Michele's Inspiration: This is my favorite card of 2020!
It reminds me of our new home and life here in Florida,
where we've said goodbye to all the snow and ice. We're doing
a crabby happy dance as we celebrate the holidays, despite
the difficult year we've all had. Merry Christmas!

Nancy's Inspiration: This Santa was one of several I
made a few years ago, and I look forward to placing him on
our piano in the family room. Complete with tree, toys
and presents, he's a focal point when you enter the room.

LeAnne Pugliese
LeAnne's Inspiration: This was my favorite card from 2020...
I love watching the birds from my craft room window, so this
sweet little bird, combined with the soft colors of blue, yellow
and gray, made it one that I enjoyed creating!  I would say
that it is Clean and Layered.

Mackie is taking a break for this challenge and
wishes all of you Happy Holidays!
Marcie's Inspiration:  My Christmas tree this year is full
of love and decorated with family style ornaments! Lots of
fun ones from our childhood, handmade ones by our children,
pretty baubles gifted to us...I just love it.

Anita's Inspiration: This was my favorite card in 2020!
Bright, colorful slimline water colored card.
Happy Holidays to all!

Betty's Inspiration: This was my favorite card of 2020!
I love the dramatic black background with pops of
colorful flowers and touches of gold!

We look forward to seeing your entry in our gallery!

Since this challenge is just for fun, we will not be choosing a winner at the end of the challenge.  We hope that you will join us as our Design Team members will be taking a break for the holidays.  We will try to visit your blogs and leave comments, but if we are not able to do so, please know that we are thrilled to have you play along with us.

The deadline to participate is
Monday, January 4th at 12:00 pm EST.

We will return with our new Design Team for 2021 along with our regular inspiration challenge on January 6th, 2021!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  1. Love this challenge Julie! Linky Tool thumbnails were distorted. Finally ended up uploading from my photos and that worked. Wonder if anyone else is having issues?
