The Card Concept #84 {Sweet Inspiration}

Happy New Year and welcome back to The Card Concept! We hope all of you had a great holiday and we are thrilled that you are joining us for the New Year!

Before we proceed with our new challenge, we would like to take this time to note that one of our designers, Vicki Finger will be taking a short break from the Design Team.  She is in the process of building a new home/moving and needs some time away from from the DT responsibilities.  We will miss Vicki's beautiful creations on the DT but she is planning on playing along with us and will be back in the fall!! Stop by her blog and say hi!! 

 Now, on to our new challenge- every two weeks we post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us and create a card for our challenge gallery.  

Please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.  We want you to have fun with our inspiration!

Our design team members will also be selecting a style (or combination of styles) and will explain how they were inspired by the challenge.  So come and join us!  We'd love you to try your hand at a brand new style of card making or feel free to work in your comfort zone.  It is totally up to you!

Ruth's Inspiration: Pastels, birthday cake and stripes 

and dots and a good helping of sequins 

for a layered shaker pocket card.

Becca Cruger

Becca's Inspiration:This photo dripped with elegance.

I loved the soft pink, gray, and rustic combo so

I incorporated that in my Shabby Chic/Mixed Media design. 

Julie Gearinger

Julie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the vintage feel 

of the photo as well as all of the beautiful roses 

to create my Mixed Media/Shabby Chic card!

Kim Heggins

Kim's Inspiration: I love the sweet cupcakes, 

delicate pearls and pink to make a 

Clean and Simple card. 

Michele K. Henderson

Michele's Inspiration: I love the romantic cupcakes 

as well as the feminine embellishments and 

used them in my Freestyle Collage card.

inspired by all the pinks, creams, and natural colours.

by the cupcakes and pink!!

2.  Use one of the challenge styles to create a card (or if you prefer, combine a few styles).

3.  Explain in a post which style or combination of styles you used and what inspired you from our photo.
