The Card Concept #164 {Rustic Holiday}

       Welcome to The Card Concept !

For those of you who are new to our challenge, every two weeks we will post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery.  


Just a reminder, our inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colors, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card? 




Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge :-)

At the end of the challenge, our Design Team will choose one Main Winner and at least three Honorable Mentions.  We will announce the winners here on our challenge blog, as well as our Facebook page and our new Pinterest board.  

Again, as we mentioned above, please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.  We want you to have fun with our inspiration!

So come and join us!  We'd love for you to try your hand at a brand new style of card making or feel free to work in your comfort zone.  It is totally up to you!

Esther Asbury
Esther's Inspiration: I was inspired by the poinsettias to 
create this festive Mixed Media card.


Kerry Bunting
Kerry's Inspiration: The poinsettias, greenery 
and wood  paneling inspired my Mixed Media card!



Julie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the rust colors as well 
as the Christmas theme to create a coppery 
vintage style Mixed Media card!


Michele K. Henderson
Michele's Inspiration: I was inspired by the big red poinsettias
 and the rustic animals of the lodge in my 
Freestyle Collage card.



Karen Ksenzakovic
Karen's Inspiration:I was inspired by the Poinsettias in the 
photo along with the colors for my Mixed Media card.


Nancy Penir
Nancy's Inspiration: All the rustic holiday patterns, the large
 tin snowflake, and the colors inspired my
 Clean and Layered card.
 

LeAnne Pugliese
LeAnne is taking a break for this challenge 
and will be back with us soon!



Mackie's Inspiration:  I was inspired to create my 
Mixed Media style card by the vintage feel of 
the inspiration photo.


Kim Singdahlsen
Kim's Inspiration: My Clean and Layered card was 
inspired by the warm and rustic colors, 
patterns and textures


Anita's Inspiration: I was inspired by the colors, 
the fireplace and the seating area for this 
Clean and Layered Card!


Betty Wright
Betty's Inspiration: I was inspired by the rustic theme,
 colors, and textures.  I created a Shabby and Vintage
 styled card. 

 
The Card Concept Guidelines:

1.  Use the challenge inspiration photo to create a card- no back linking.


2.  Use one of the challenge styles to create a card (or if you prefer, combine a few styles).

3.  Explain in a post which style or combination of styles you used and what inspired you from our photo. 
 
4.  Link your post using the linky tool (please link to the actual post on your blog and not just your blog) and please display our inspiration photo in your blog post.  

5. We do not mind if you combine our challenge with others, but please do not combine ours with another inspiration challenge.  
 
6.  Please try to comment on the cards ahead of you and behind you in the gallery.  Everyone loves comments!


The deadline to participate will be  
Monday, November 29th at 12:00 pm EST.

Esther's Inspiration: I was inspired by the gingham napkins 
and autumn tray to create this Clean and Layered card.


Kerry Bunting
Kerry's Inspiration:  My Clean and Layered card with retro
 vibe was inspired by the idea of families gathering 
together for a meal.


Julie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the overall theme, 
colors and the pumpkins for my 
one layer (fairly simple) Mixed Media card!


Michele K. Henderson
Michele's Inspiration: I just love that big white pumpkin and 
those touches of blue and sage, and used them in my 
Mixed Media card.


Karen Ksenzakovic
Karen's Inspiration: I was inspired by the cream colored 
pumpkins along with the other colors in the photo 
for my Freestyle Collage card.


Nancy Penir
Nancy's Inspiration: The black and white plaid napkin was 
the starter. Then the long table setting and colors inspired
 my Clean and Layered card.
 

LeAnne Pugliese
LeAnne's Inspiration: I was inspired by the checked
napkins as well as the pretty pumpkin vignette and the 
color palette for my Clean and Layered card.



Mackie's Inspiration:  I was inspired to create my 
Clean and Layered  style shadow box card by the 
pretty cream pumpkins and colors.



Kim Singdahlsen
Kim's Inspiration: My Classy and Elegant style card 
was inspired by the white pumpkin with the black/white 
tablescape. I used all of the colors as accents.



Anita's Inspiration: I was totally inspired by the black 
gingham napkin, the white pumpkins and the color dots 
for this Clean and Layered card.



Betty Wright
Betty's Inspiration: I was inspired by the centerpiece focal
 point,  colors, and theme.  I created a 
Clean and Simple Styled card.
