The Card Concept #196 {Patriotic Picnic}
Welcome to The Card Concept !
For those of you who are new to our challenge, every two weeks we will post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery.
Just a reminder, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colors, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?
Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge :-)
At the end of the challenge, our Design Team will choose one Main Winner and at least three Honorable Mentions. We will announce the winners here on our challenge blog, as well as our Facebook page and our new Pinterest board.
Again, as we mentioned above, please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles. We want you to have fun with our inspiration!

Now for our Design Team's inspiration:
Esther's Inspiration: My Clean and Layered card
was inspired by the patriotic theme.
Kerry's Inspiration: My Clean and Layered card
was inspired by the flowers and for a hint of
patriotic, I used Australian natives.
Julie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the flowers, patriotic
theme, ginghams and stars as well as the colors for my
Shabby and Vintage Mixed Media card!
Michele's Inspiration: I went a little outside the box
for my fun Clean and Layered Patriotic Picnic theme,
using red, white, blue, and beige.

Karen's Inspiration: I was inspired by the Patriotic
Stars and Stripes in the photo along with the colors
and the flowers for my Clean and Layered card.

patriotic theme, colors and textures when
creating my Clean Layered card.
Jenny's Inspiration: Definitely the colours, the patterns
and the vase of flowers inspired my
Clean and Layered card

Mackie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the red, white
and blue to create my Clean and Layered style card.
Betty's taking an extended break and
will hopefully join us again soon!

The Card Concept #195 {Floral Spring} or {Garden Birds}
Welcome to The Card Concept !
For those of you who are new to our challenge, every two weeks we will post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery.
This challenge is our double challenge - the second challenge of every month, we are posting two challenge photos! You can choose whichever photo you prefer, or you could create two separate cards, one for each photo!
We hope this new option will be one that you enjoy as much as we do- our Designers will let you know which one they decided as well.
With Mother's Day this coming weekend, we chose a floral inspiration as well as garden birds, but you do not need to create a Mother's Day card. You may decide to use just the colors, images, textures, etc.

Kerry's Inspiration: Garden birds were the
inspiration for my Mixed Media card.
Julie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the Garden Birds
photo for my Clean and Layered Mixed Media card!

inspired by the pretty palette, the small birds, and the
round shape for my Clean and Layered card.
Karen's Inspiration: I was inspired by the
overall theme of Floral Spring and the colors
in the photo for my Clean and Layered card.
Karen's Inspiration: My Vintage Shabby Chic card was
inspired SO much by the gorgeous colors
in the Spring Florals photo.
Jenny's Inspiration: I was inspired by the patterns and
colours of the napkin and table cloth in the first
photo to make a Clean and Layered Card.
Nancy's Inspiration: Colors, and a beached vibe
inspired my Clean and and Layered card.
Mackie's Inspiration: I was inspired by the flowers
and colors to create my Clean and Elegant style card.
