The Card Concept #105 {Christmas Tree}

Welcome to The Card Concept! Normally, every two weeks we post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery.

Due to the Christmas and New Year holiday, this bi-weekly challenge
 will be a bit different.

Please feel free to post one of your favorite cards that you designed from 2018 (and tell us why it is your favorite) or, if you prefer, share a photo of your Christmas tree with all of us.

Our Designers will try to comment as they can for this challenge and we are hoping to visit your blogs and see your favorite card from 2018 or
Christmas trees :-)

Now for the design team's inspiration:

Tangii Crain
Tangii is taking a break for this challenge.
If you have a chance, stop by her blog to say "hi"!

Julie Gearinger
Julie's Inspiration: This card was one of my favorites in 2018
and was originally designed for our challenge #91.  Since Mixed Media/
Shabby Chic is my favorite design style, I think this card represents
both styles and I love the vintage image along with the verse sentiment!

Michele K. Henderson
Michele's Inspiration: This card, which I named, "Is Anybody Home?"
was my very favorite from 2018, featured in May. I love the
bright colors in the color palette, and the tiny details
 in the camper too!

Kim Lackenbach
Kim's Inspiration: This card was one of my favorites from
2018 because I love the gold embossed sentiment and the
patterned papers of this Clean and Layered card!

Nancy Penir
Nancy's InspirationOur 9 1/2' tree (one of our four trees!) in
the great room. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Maureen Plut
Maureen's Inspiration:  This card was one of my favourites this year.
I made it for  one of our May challenges.  I love the colours, the layout,
 and the long flowing twine.

Susan Powell
Susan's Inspiration:  This card was one of my favorites this year.
I made it for my daughter who challenged me with a request
for a birthday card for a friend whose favorite things are cats,
dinosaurs and outerspace. I thought 'challenge accepted!'

Angel Rivera
Angel's Inspiration: This was my favorite card this year- I love
the cute unicorn image as well as the detailed background!
So fresh and fun!!

Mackie is is taking a break for this challenge.
If you have a chance, stop by her blog to say "hi"!

Marcie Sharp
Marcie's Inspiration: This was my favourite card this year.
I jumped back into the alcohol ink craze and made many cards
using them this year. This one uses alcohol inks and of course
a bold and glittery sentiment!

Pam Staples

Pam's InspirationThis is my in-laws Christmas Tree taken on
Christmas Eve but before all the gifts were placed under the tree.
It's a real tree which reminds me of how much I love real trees. The
Christmas Card is the actual card that I've sent out to close family
and friends along with some of my best customers. I love the
Buffalo Check (and, to think, I almost didn't buy the stamp!). I grew
up in Minnesota and Deer just really feel like Christmas for me.

1.  Use the challenge inspiration to create a card.
2.  Use one of the challenge styles to create a card (or if you prefer, combine a few styles).
3.  Explain in a post which style or combination of styles you used and what inspired you from our photo.
4.  Link your post using our linky (please link to the actual post on your blog and not just your blog).
5.  Please try to comment on the cards ahead of you and behind you in the linky.  Everyone loves comments!

The deadline to participate is
Monday, January 7th at 12:00 pm EDT.

Since this challenge is for "fun" , we will not have a Challenge Winner or Honorable Mentions/

We will resume with our normal photo inspiration challenge on Wednesday, January 9th.

We look forward to seeing your artwork/photos in our gallery!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
